What is the value of a 20 to 25 year old
Sears, 2HP, paint sprayer--has a 20 gallon tank. Can you
buy parts for them--do they wear out from non-use and old
age--this one has not been used very much. Do you know
where you can get parts and nails, etc. for an old
Ramset?

the other wrenches they make. Also, how good are the

Buyers beware! Delta is no longer a reliable name in
tools. I burnt out a Delta 10" mitre saw in 2 1/2
months. My repair guy said it wasn't even worth repairing
because it'd do the same again in a couple months. Home
Depot, where I got it, immediately gave my money back
because they had many returns on the same saw. I now own
a Makita.

I run a pressure washing business
here in Toronto, Canada. It is my side business since I
am still in University. I do have a price listing for
doing things for pressure washing. But I would really
like to get some input on some of pressure washing stuff.
How do you price deck pressure cleaning. I usually charge
about $1.00 per square foot. What kind of sealants are
recommended? Which one is better, one that penetrates the
wood or the one that stays on top of the surface?

I have a Record Plane (#4) that I
received as a gift some 15-20 years ago. Now that I am
finally developing an interest in woodworking, I have
discovered that the handle does not attach firmly to the
baseplate. Upon investigating, the threaded rod that
holds the handle down is partially stripped. I received
this plane new, in the box, so I know it was made that
way at the factory. I'm trying to discover if I can find
any remedy. Do they offer lifetime warranties for this
type of problem. Any help is appreciated.

I've recently acquired 2 record planes at yard sale and
the gentlemen that sold them to me believed that the
company had gone out of business. He went on to say that
competition from foreign manufactures was the reason. I'm
not exactly sure how true this information is.

Record is alaive and well and being
produced in england as they always were. They would
likely replace the post without hesitation. Not sure if
they have a web-site but if you make some calls and look
in some magazines you should be able to find a retailer
who can give you the name of a local rep.
