Building A New Shop
Purpose

Prelude

Whether a contractor, woodworker, cabinet maker or hobbyist, you will,
or you have already reached the limits of the area you have designated as,
and refer to as: "my shop."

Over the past few years, you may recall the number of times you have accidentally bumped into one of your stationery tools, while preparing for,
or in the process of working on a project.

Possibly, you have noticed that your spending more time preparing for a project then the time it takes to actually process the project. You're
probably aware of the fact that your spending too much time trying to
locate a certain piece of hardware, tool or material for your project, and
spending less time working on your project.

You may have noticed that the zeal that you once had, quite a few years
back, when undertaking a new project, has somewhat diminished proportionately to the loss of free working area in your shop.

If you have the above mentioned symptoms, chances are your shop looks
a lot like ours. (Yes that's a picture, of our shop). If you do not have the
above mentioned symptoms, chances are, fate has dealt you a different hand.

If you have come upon this realization, then like us, you desire, and you
require a larger, more efficient and more organized shop.

For some of you, you're probably considering building your first shop. For most of us, we've made due over the past few years and now have finally decided, and have finally made a commitment to to build a new shop.

This is the commitment I have made, I've decided its now or never. My personal decision is based on a love of working with my hands and one
of realizing that I can be entirely more productive and profitable at what I
enjoy doing.

I believe in a roundabout way, we've just covered our purpose in building
a new shop.

So, for those of you who are considering or determined to to get started,
follow along as we go through the steps of what it takes to accomplish this task.

Please remember, this is an actual project in progress. For those of you
who are familiar with Murphy's law, you can expect delays. We will be attempting to update this section on a regular basis. We will also try to
capture and document all the details necessary to make a project of this
nature, successful.

At this time, I'd like to invite you to send us your thoughts concerning
this project. If you have an opportunity, send us a picture of your shop,
it can be a way for all of us to share in project of this kind.
