First of all I would like to say I bought my Dodge Dakota Quad 4x4 in January 2000. All I can say is I love it. For a truck it has power, speed, handleing, and room like a car in the inside.I have 18000 miles on it, bought it new, have not had one bit of trouble with it. The best thing that I have done to it is put on duals from the muffler back. Had a flowmaster muffler put on it and duals out the back with crome tips, the big ones. Does that sound nice and MEAN. It turns alot of heads. Just wanted to say we have what I see is the best truck built now. Don Hi Nick, Dodge has come out with a performance chip, or should I say you will be able to get one in mid summer. I believe it will up your horse power 55 hp, or the book said bhp, I dont remember . Just wanted to let you know. Good site. Don I'm just curious if you might have a
catalog or a link to a website for some Hello, I purchased my Quad Cab 11
months ago. I love it! Only wish I had gotten the 4x4. Bob I own a 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab with
the 4.7L V8 with the special automatic transmission that
is matched to it. I am happy with my truck, but not with
my dealership. I feel that I have stumbled along
something that could make a difference to Dakota owners.
I get 26 mpg on the highway. I did this using the
Spiralmax. There was supposed to be a gain in power, but
I wanted fuel economy. I don't know if there was any
significant change in power, but I still know it moves.
If you have any other questions, let me know. I have done
a few modifications to my truck. I have added PIAA super
whites, ARE Z-series cap, Westin bumperbar, airhorn,
custom handsfree cell setup, Kwstantino Hey nice to see that you have a site for Quad cabs. I have been looking for some bed rails for the by Quad cab but have been unable to find any, except for the ones that they sell at Dodge. Not real found of there style. I'm looking for the tradition stainless tubes. If you know of any web site please send it to me. Thanks Scott D, Howdy Nick, I have a 2000 quad cab. I have a little over 25000 miles on it now. Shortly after I bought it i noticed that it pulled to the right. After numerous alignments no one has been able to fix it. I now have a second problem. The oil cap has a watery oily sludge in it. I am going to the dealership tomorrow (3 hours from where i live) and we will see what they say. I also have periodic porblems with the power windows and the air vents somtimes won't change from vent to defrost. I will let you know what they dealer says. If anyone has noticed these problems and wants to contact me (bmason@overland.net) Ben How would one know which transfer case they got by the window sticker or other means? Please let me know as I am not sure which one I got with my truck. I got the tire option and the towing option on mine with the 4.7 engine but would like to know if that means I got the better transfer case. Thanks, Paul Hi Nick, Bought my 2001 quad cab and
love it so far. I'd like to know if you have heard of a
place to buy a CD changer to add while using the existing
in dash CD controls. Crutchfield has not yet researched
the 2001 model. I don't want to take a chance without
knowing if the 2000 is the same. Any ideas? Also here are
some pics of my 4X4 Sport. State: California Year: 2001 , Color:
Black , Engine: 4.7 Rear: 3.55 4x4: Shift On The Fly
Overdrive: Yes Other Stuff: Transmission: 4 Speed
Automatic Love the site. I found it while researching the Quad Cab online. I haven't purchased oneyet but I plan to next month when my lease runs out. I see in your photos of 2001 Dakota's some photos of the Taupe interior. I can't find a dealer with that color in stock and I was wondering if you have any other photos of the interior as a whole maybe including the seats so I could get an idea what the color looks like. I would appreciate it if you could e-mail me any other Taupe interior photos you might have. Thanks. Bill G. |
