| Once the retaining clips have been retracted you can begin to tilt up the upper filter housing. |

Once you tilt the upper box up a little it will become necessary for you to pull the top housing toward the front direction (bumper) to unlock the tabs. Okay at this point .....you may be tempted to get in there with a pair of diagonal dikes and nip off the little pieces of sh...... but persevere with some jingling and it will clear enough for you to rip it away.
Your newer model quads may not have this little piece of engineering marvel in that case.... take a second to thank God for sparing you and continue with the installation guide |

| Now take that K.N. filter..... and lay
that baby in place. Now all you have to do is go backwards in this K.N.filter installation guide to complete this installation. |

| Before snapping the clips in place......
check that the front and rear of the upper filter
housing.... be sure it runs parallel to the lower housing
as pictured above. If I missed something or made any errors or any of you owners want to add something to this installation guide..... do it... by using the mail form. |

Not to worry..... though...... this article (as well as larger and more images) will be on the new upcoming site.... in it's entirety.
