A Dodge Dakota Quad Cab Owners Web Page.

Where To Go To Buy A Dodge Dakota Quad Cab
Maryland - Pennsylvania - New York

What I've notice in the mail I receive from Quad owners is that when they mention the dealers they bought their car from, they are either real happy with their dealers and service department or they're dissatisfied.

As in any service business, whether it be remodeling or automobile dealerships, the quality of your service can vary from top notch to notchless, irregardless of how many stars are floating above the building.

This section of this site will be dedicated to identifying those dealers that give good service, whether it is the sale or service of the Dakota Quad.

In order to accomplish this task I'm going to call on my fellow Quad owners who have had good experiences and dealings with their truck dealers. This section is not for the chastising of dealerships that have given poor service. If you want to complain, by all means do so, I'll post your comments in the mail section of this site.

I make no claims or guarantees as to the service you'll receive from the dealer('s) listed on this site or to be listed, either by me (just 1) or by other owners. My dealer recommendation (below) is based on my observation and the facts at the time.

I'll begin this section by plugging the dealership where I purchased my Quad.

Why

Arriving at the dealership after finally making my decision to purchase a Quad I hailed the first salesman I could locate. Though very polite and accommodating, I quickly realized he was a rookie, Joe was a salesman in training.

Photo of my deal going down
James is on the right and Joe is sitting down. My wife is
handling the paper work, because that stuff drives me up the wall!

Noticing that he was having problems with company procedures of handling the sale of vehicle, a salesman named James came over to assist. Thereafter things went smoothly. Joe was credited for the sale but James would be the one to continue assisting me with future issues.

I had a few issues when I took delivery of my truck. Not only did they bend-over backwards (especially the sales manager) to take care of these issues (3) but they did it to suit the way I wanted it when I wanted it done and filled my gas tank up for free, 3 times, also offering a automobile to use if and when I would leave my car for service. In case you haven't noticed I can be very particular..... or is that peculiar?

I was impressed that they continued to greet me cordially on subsequent visits and the visits I continued to make ( for pictures & information for the 2001 Quads) and at the time not even knowing I had started a site for Dakota Quad owners.

The above dealership is an area that I frequently travel through and they always seem to have a good selection of Dakota Quads, Durango's and Rams ever time I take a look and glance by.

Since owning my Quad for 8.5 months about the time this particular page is being put online, I haven't had any mechanical problems where the service department was needed and therefore can not comment about service at this dealer.

If you can't get a hold of James ask for the sales manager ( Marty Windish) tell him "Dakota Nick" sent you, ask him to recommend a knowledgeable Quad salesman (before hand) to assist you (in case you have questions). The dealers phone number: 410-666-9600

New York

Here's a recommendation from Bill.

I purchased my Quad at Scotia Motors Dodge in Scotia, New York. Their Service department is outstanding! The Manager is an ace. They have several top experienced mechanics. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to buy in New York State to look them up. Extremely knowledgeable Sales staff as well.

I have taken other Dakotas and our Intrepid there for service also. Never had to bring back twice for a problem.

Bill

Unfortunately, Bill didn't supply a phone number, so you'll have to get the yellow pages to locate this dealer.

Now It's Your Turn.

The rest of this sections content is up to you guys, stop scratchin' your buts and let me know who's been naughty or nice. Be sure to send in the sales mangers name with his extension and phone number. (see below)

Footnote: Joe left the dealership after a month, come to find out, car salesmen are a migratory breed and don't tend to stay at one place to long. That's why it's necessary to list the sales managers name, they tend to settle down in one place for a longer period of time. They also have a personal interest for their dealership business.

When I find the time I'll be putting up a section concerning the actual deal and the resolving of the issues (cosmetic) I had.

Check the front page for the last update date.
